Objectives

With the implementation of this project we want our trainees to improve their learning performance, improve their language skills in foreign languages, promote better career prospects and greater employability prospects, raising their spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship. All these improvements will contribute to increasing their self-empowerment and self-esteem, greater awareness of interculturality and, consequently, more active participation in society and greater European awareness. With regard to our teachers, the main points would be to obtain better skills linked to professional profiles, a broader understanding of the practices, policies and educational systems of other countries and a greater understanding of the links between vocational training and the labour market. As far as our organisation is concerned, the areas in which more skills could be acquired relate to acquiring an improved and innovative method of operating in a more modern and dynamic environment, with a greater capacity to operate at European and international level.

Background

The starting point for applying for this project was the urgent and highly motivated need to renew teaching practices and, on the other hand, the need to fulfil the school's crucial role in offering our students the best possible preparation for the labour market. This opportunity to internationalise their work-based training will become indispensable in managing their skills and would add value not only to their professional training but also to their identity as European citizens. In other words, an experience in the world of work would ensure the development of professional skills, language skills and, at the same time, promote personal skills.
