The objectives were: to provide impactful learning experiences both on a personal level through the development of soft skills (leading to critical thinking, creativity, implementation of collaborative work and team spirit, entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills), and at a professional level, with the improvement of technical training in a differentiated and diversified context, as well as in cultural and sociolinguistic aspects; to promote the development of competences in a progressively wider number of students and teachers, aiming at the creation of proactive, intervening and responsible citizens; create equal opportunities between students of different types of education in accessing and participating in Erasmus+ projects.

Background

This project came about as it was realized that it was necessary to promote and value vocational education, in addition to understanding the practices, policies and education systems of different countries within the scope of the coordination of this type of education. Thus, on the one hand, it was intended to give vocational education students the opportunity to carry out training in a work context in a European environment to motivate them and combat learning difficulties that some students reveal, as well as attendance problems. On the other hand, it was also intended to create the opportunity for teachers who teach subjects of the technological component of vocational education to get in touch with different, innovative pedagogical realities that induce good practices and new approaches. In both cases, the aim was to foster a culture of European and global citizenship, providing students and teachers with linguistic, scientific and cultural skills that promote the European citizen; train active and active citizens; develop soft skills that lead to critical thinking, creativity, collaborative work, team spirit, entrepreneurship and problem solving.
