To make ESALV a school of reference. Not only in the area where it is located, but also at a regional, national and international level; To distinguish itself as a school of inclusion through its diversified offer, open to the legitimate aspirations of the population it serves; To achieve an effective and renewed performance, promoting pedagogical differentiation and curricular diversity, the improvement of school results, and the quality of success.
The Afonso Lopes Vieira Secondary School (ESALV) had already experience in Erasmus+ projects. The programme has existed in ESALV since 2015, being one of its flagships. The Erasmus+ project enhances the value of ESALV's vocational education training offer, recognised by the students who participated in previous projects. ESALV has also participated in several international projects (COMENIUS) and has the ongoing project Teacher Mobility for Learning Purposes-KA101. This project consists of a continuity work responding to the expectations of vocational education students, as the school is an integrating centre of a multicultural community, not losing sight of its educational mission of promoting scientific knowledge. ESALV is a school in the outskirts of the city of Leiria, in the parish of Marrazes, which has been chosen as a place for (i)migrants to settle, with diverse cultures and traditions. Being a unifying and integrating centre of this cultural diversity, it makes totally sense to create and develop identifying projects such as Erasmus+.
