The project had as main objectives: - the acquisition and reinforcement of the participants' professional, personal and linguistic skills and knowledge, essential for their future success and integration into the labor market. - provide opportunities for students, most of them with socio-economic difficulties, to expand their horizons and participate in professional experiences abroad. - encourage responsibility, autonomy and attitudes that are more consistent with the curricular area of the participants. - to encourage students' academic success, increasing the number of students who complete the course and who do it with greater success, reducing the absenteeism rate. - improve the quality of training for Cenintel students. - improve the employability rate of young students and, at the same time, the development of their entrepreneurial spirit, with a view to facilitating their transition to the labor market. - increase the reputation of the school among its partners and the local community and reinforce the feeling of belonging to the school community. - promote Cenintel's internationalization. - to stimulate the development of new cooperation projects and organizational learning.
In the Municipality of Sintra, where Cenintel-EPAV is located, the growth rate of companies is lower than in other geographic areas. The School also integrates the Municipal Education Council, the Strategic Business Council, the Parish Social Network and other partnerships, with the aim of being a school of local and regional reference, with regard to the professional training of young people. Considering that the improvement of the level and quality of education of the active population is fundamental to respond to the new impositions of the labor market, and that the continuous ability to adapt to technological change and the lifelong learning are determining factors for the economic dynamics, with the application for this project, Cenintel-EPAV wanted to bring its curricula and trainees closer to the labor market and European quality standards, also bringing together the entire municipality of Sintra and the region, improving the offer in the main sectors of Restaurants, Hotels and Tourism, considered the most important sectors, key to the economic and sustainable development of the region.
