All of the original objectives of the project were met because we planned and carried out all the activities in the project so that we can successfully achieve all the objectives that we have had set. Throughout every session of every day we met the different objectives and at the end through the feedback that we got from the participants on the project and long after, we feel that we reached the overall aim of our project which was: exploring cultural diversity through folk music, songs, traditional clothes and foods and using art as a method of cultural and self expression. Through the implementation of the different activities during the youth exchange of this project we have achieved the following objectives: • Promote the usage of art as a tool for celebrating the cultural diversity in Europe through peer-learning; (we have achieved this through the art workshops and creating the main outcomes – photo exhibition, video and mural) • Networking with organizations from different countries; • Creating a group that blends by their culture and customs; • Introducing a larger number of the other young people with the idea of cultural diversity and increasing intercultural awareness; (This was achieved through the cultural workshops, sharing the dances, music and food, and collages) • To foster mutual understanding between people through their rapprochement; • Transferring the European culture, Promoting the European values; Straitening the feeling of being the part of European Community; (This was achieved throughout all the workshops by working in mixed working groups and sharing personal experience about living in dif-ferent countries and different cultures) • Promoting the food, clothes and songs of different countries in Europe; (This was achieved through the cultural workshops, sharing the dances, music and food, and collages) • Promoting the ERASMUS + Programme among a larger number of young people from the local communities. (This was achieved with the Erasmus plus World Café workshop, the promotional activities in Madeira and the dissemination activities) • Overcoming cultural stereotypes; (This was achieved through the mixed group activities during the project where participants from different countries worked together) We believe that we even had achievements that exceeded our expectations because the participants were extra motivated to work and learn and were even using their free time to learn from each other. During the creation of the outcomes everyone was helping each other and everyone learned all the tools that we provided - all the participants practiced photography and said that they enhanced their skills and/or learned totaly new skills about photography, and everyone held a brush in their hands and did some part of the mural and learned how a mural is created from scratch. An extra achievement was a whole new part of the exhibition that was not planned, which was the Portraits section, that each participant had a photo taken by another participant, and this was an extra exhibition besides the planned one. Another extra activity was the promotional events that the participants did in the town of Funchal, instead of the flashmob they went and spoke to locals about the project, our exhibition and the Erasmus programme. Overall we believe that the project exceeded the initial planned objectives and learning outcomes because we had a great working environment and a great motivated group.
