Members of the School Board made an analysis of the needs of our school in order to improve the life in school, the way teachers teach and evaluate, students’ results at regular and national evaluation. They realized that: - Not all teachers used the existing technology from school in their daily activities due to various reasons: their lack of knowledge of the importance of IT in their students’ training, their lack of IT abilities. - Only a few teachers had updated their IT knowledge and abilities in the last 5 years. - There wasn’t an Internet connection in all classrooms. - Not all computers were regularly upgraded. According to the data gathered, the School Board acknowledged some teachers’ and pupils’ needs: -Teachers needed to improve IT competences and use the computers in half of the activities they develop in classes. -Teachers needed to be able to produce and use materials which assure online safety. -IT should be included into extracurricular activities thus helping students consider school more interesting and fight any form of discrimination, bullying and violence. - specific activities should be used in order to help students learn what to do with the knowledge they have achieved at various subjects.
