"Constantin Gh. Marinescu" Secondary School wanted to use the opportunity of this Erasmus+ mobility project in the field of school education to achieve the digital turn of the entire school, to confer emotional and digital safety to our students inside and outside the classroom. The school considered the preparation of teachers for digital classrooms, through the use of educational software, online tools and educational platforms in the classroom and in relations with students and parents, but also equipping teachers with techniques for emotional management and tools for conflict management, for overcoming anxiety in the classroom and for preventing and combating aggression and the phenomenon of bullying. Through the participation of our teachers in Erasmus+ training courses in the fields of digital innovation and conflict management, we have achieved our objectives of increasing the quality of the instructional-educational process through the efficient and safe use of modern digital technology and online educational platforms in classrooms and gradual reduction of the bullying phenomenon for the creation of a non-discriminatory and inclusive educational environment.
The project "Online and offline safety in the school of the future" started from the concrete reality in our school, regarding the behavior of our students in the classroom and outside the classroom, confronting us in recent years with the increase in the number of children with increased emotional needs and with the emergence of bullying and cyberbullying phenomena. The school needed teachers with active listening skills and empathy, who would develop the emotional and social intelligence of the students, teachers trained in managing conflicts in the classroom and at school, equipped with the necessary knowledge to create a non-discriminatory and inclusive educational environment. At the same time, the school needed teachers to develop their digital skills for the use of educational software and platforms and project-based learning in the classroom, to meet the educational requirements of our students and to help them combat the cyberbullying and the online disinformation. Also, the digital turn of the entire school was required, starting with the modernization of equipment and working tools to the creation of our own policies regarding the online safety of our students and teachers.
