Objectives

Purpose: supporting the process of modernizing the education offered by the school by developing and piloting a digital learning policy with 16 professors, trained in 4 European courses, who will use an innovative approach and expand the use of ICT in the educational process, developing digital learning with robots and interactive whiteboards, as an attractive and effective means of study, during the period of Dec. 2020 - Oct. 2022. O1 The qualification of 4 teaching staff from CA and CEAC in the practice of effective management, by taking over and adapting European best practices regarding the development and piloting of a digital policy of the "Mihai Eminescu" Secondary School in the period 2020-2022; O 2 Development of digital skills for 8 teachers (3 teachers and 2 teachers for using web 2.0 tools in lessons and 1 teacher and 2 teachers for using interactive whiteboards in lessons) to improve the applicability of technology in the teaching-learning process in order to increase students' motivation to learn, until Oct. 2022. O3 Increasing the degree of use of educational robotics in curricular and extracurricular activities through its use by at least 30% of the school staff, in a period of 2 years.

Background

The project met one of the strategic goals of the school "Increasing the interest and motivation of students and teachers for the development of quality education at European standards" contributing to the fulfillment of long-term objectives 1. Development of a modern management and innovative system 2. Curricular development – development within the SBC of appropriate optional subjects 3. Development of an education process adapted to the needs of a digital society At the same time, we wanted to remedy the problems identified at the school level: -lack of attractive, updated teaching methods for the generation of students interested in technology; - the lack of adaptation of SBC to the needs of students; - low motivation of students for learning 40%, - reluctance and poor use of IT means in the didactic process; - lack of a coherent school digitization policy. Being a common need of all teaching staff to improve their skills in using digital means and taking into account the school's IT equipment, we proposed that 16 teaching staff participate in training courses for the effective use of educational robotics, interactive whiteboards and other web 2.0 tools in the classroom to keep students motivated, active and involved.
