Objectives

The main objective of the project was to increase the quality of education, by ensuring a high-performing educational environment, which promotes the rational and responsible use of web resources, an environment favourable to the development of students' key and transversal competences, so as to offer them the opportunity to continue their studies and/or integrate on a internationalized labour market. By relating to the STEAM education through interdisciplinary collaboration and to the specific objectives of the PDE-programs "Teachers-leaders of learning and agents of change" and "Partnerships for the integration of STEAM approaches in learning", the specific objectives of the project were achieved: 1.The teachers participating in the mobilities coordinated groups of students in the development of STEAM creative education projects. 2.The teachers participating in the mobilities collaborated with each other, with the school management, their peers and students in order to set up two interdisciplinary learning spaces. Through the organized activities, the teachers participating in the mobilities have demonstrated that they have developed managerial and entrepreneurial competences, being able to create modern educational resources.

Background

The 3Steam Project responded to the priority of C.N. "C. Carabella" Romania, to ensure a high-performing and dynamic educational environment, which enhances the positive values of STEAM education, constituting a qualitative intervention in the development of the cooperation and didactic innovation competences school teachers. 8 teachers participated in transnational mobilities, having as partners Europass Teacher Academy, EduKarjala and Dijon Rectorate. During the project we learned how to work together, through innovative, interdisciplinary approaches, helping the students to discover themselves, to make informed career decisions. We have also learned to adapt inspired and efficient learning spaces that facilitate collaboration, that value STEAM and personalise learning. Through dissemination workshops, we trained the community, succeeding in setting up two interdisciplinary working spaces: The Radio School and The Co-Lab. Through the applied and the interdisciplinary approach to learning, we have built another step towards the “smart school” in order to support the students to achieve school and extracurricular performances so that they could integrate successfully into the academic environment or the labour market.
