Background

The school's project aims to develop the European dimension, equal opportunities, equity and inclusion in students' education. We applied for this project to address identified needs related to - understanding cultural diversity - lack of knowledge of active citizenship mechanisms -insufficient social, civic, intercultural skills - insufficient innovative methods, of the practical nature of learning, by linking scientific content to the concrete context of the environment, to the cultural, social and economic realities of today's society -lack of critical thinking, learning autonomy - insufficient motivation for language learning as a means of access to knowledge, the international labour market, intercultural dialogue, tolerance and respect - lack of transdisciplinary approaches and elements of project pedagogy in lessons and extracurricular activities A small number of teachers had participated in European training courses, with different themes from their strictly professional area, therefore the motivation for training was an important stake of this training project.
