By implementing this project we aimed the following: 1. Skills development for 8 teachers who participated to 2 training courses regarding inclusive education, prevention of school dropout, transfer of non-formal education in formal education during the project and the following school years; 2. Increasing SEN students' academic results by 10% during the project and in the following school years by applying new teaching strategies, leading to reduction of the school dropout risk; 3. Organising minimum 6 outdoor lessons/integrated activities each semester (preschool, primary, gymnasium level) which involve minimum 60 students, during the project and the next school years; 4. Implementing a school leadership strategy during the project and the next 2 scholastic years, initiated by 3 teachers/auxiliary staff/management staff who participated to the leadership and school management course
We applied for this project because it gave us the opportunity to answer the following needs for our school: 1.The need for improving the communication and active involvement of the whole staff,for implementing a strategy/action plan for the school,for adapting the organisational and institutional leadership to our school's and community's characteristic 2.The need for identifying the optimum strategy of teaching-evaluating according on the individual needs of students with SEN(Special Educational Needs),ensuring a custom/personalised approach of the curriculum,their group inclusion and reduction of the school dropout risk 3.The need for combining non-formal/outdoor educational elements in formal learning contexts,facilitating the integrated approach of the content and improving the way students see learning 4.The need for medium and long term collaboration with European teachers/educational institutions in order to achieve a best practices and opinions exchange,partnerships By implementing this project we managed to turn needs from weaknesses into strengths and we accomplished the strategic aim from the school's EDP(European Development Plan)which targets the teachers' forming and professional development through Erasmus+ program
