"Petrache Triscu" Sports High School from Craiova, Dolj county educates students in the vocational field, sports profile, specializations: athletics, fencing, judo, badminton, free and Greco-Roman wrestling, karate, gymnastics. The problems faced by high school students are diverse: they live in different areas of the city, but also in neighboring communes, sometimes traveling long distances to get to school; they come from families with social problems, single-parent families, but also from families with economic problems, having a very low monthly income per family member. As a result, some of the students' parents went to work outside the country, to provide for their children a better life. Insufficiently supervised students accumulate a large number of absences and obtain poor academic results, due to lack of interest in attending classes. Percentage-wise, in the high school, over 40% of students are part of vulnerable groups (families with low socio-economic level, single-parent families, children with at least 1 parent who has gone abroad, with CES, Roma, etc.). We do not have children who drop out of school, but the number of students at risk of dropping out is increasing.
