By implementing this project, Alexandru Ioan Cuza National College wanted to improve its capacity to develop efficient and effective management, with a teaching staff open to new curricular approaches, able to promote the European dimension of education and interested in its own training / development. The dissemination / valorization of the activities carried out within the Erasmus + Program aroused the interest of other teachers for training, as they have the possibility to participate in cultural exchanges / good practices, to benefit from support in learning foreign languages, etc. In our project, we partially solved one of the real needs identified at the level of the institution: the creation of a flexible educational environment, conducive to learning, by increasing the European dimension of the institution and a better knowledge of European values.
One of the goals of the Institutional Development Project was to increase by 40% the participation of teachers in various vocational training courses, in order to become a dynamic institution, open to change. We applied for this project because we wanted: continuous professional development of teachers by capitalizing on opportunities for cooperation, which would allow free movement in the European space, language learning / development of language skills, exchange of good practices; taking advantage of new learning opportunities, of new curricular approaches, by adapting the teaching strategies both to the particularities of the students and to the European models of educational practices, aiming to ensure equal opportunities; the use of ICT tools and resources in various activities - interactive lessons, educational games, simulation of learning experiences; developing a flexible, friendly educational environment that encourages the free expression of students; ensuring quality, pro-European education, which develops in students the digital, linguistic, social-civic competences, the spirit of initiative in formal / non-formal educational contexts.
