Objectives

The title of the project is Different Students = Different Learning Methods, it was funded by Erasmus +, Key Action 1- School education, with reference number 2020-1-RO01-KA101-079711, the beneficiary of the project being Potlogi High School, the duration of the project is 18 months, and the implementation period from 09.09.2020 to 08.03.2022. The countries where the mobility took place are Finland, Spain, Portugal. The mobilities were based on structured courses that helped to train and develop 12 teachers in our school. The general objective of the project was to improve the quality of the teaching act by the participation of 12 teachers in courses on inclusive education, differentiated teaching methods and reducing absenteeism. The specific objectives of the project were: O1: Development of differentiated teaching skills with at least 5 differentiated teaching techniques and methods correlated to students' learning styles and types of intelligence, among 12 teachers. O2: Increasing the concern among 30% of teachers regarding the differentiated treatment of students by implementing at least one program of support and school remediation. O3: Decrease the absenteeism rate by 15% compared to the average registered in the 2018-2019 school year. The partners involved in this project were the Eduplus Socio-Educational Association (Spain) Edu2grow (Portugal) and eduKarjala (Finland), who promptly answered all our questions regarding information on how to conduct mobility in the country. By implementing this project we aimed to train and develop human resources of the school, by applying to teachers active and alternative participatory methods learned in training courses. We choose to influence student performance by managing teacher-related factors, creating a context for teachers to learn to "speak each student's language!"

Background

We applied for this project because our school aims to offer students unlimited opportunities for individual fulfillment through education, providing access to a high-performance educational system, flexible and adapted to rural conditions, as well as the possibility of continuing education for adults, for them to have access lifelong learning and to strengthen the close link between education, learning and family. The mission of the school is for each student to benefit from the best chance to his development, to be prepared for a higher level in education, with the school satisfying the need of each student to feel competent, to adapt to the permanent changes of society.
