Objectives

By implementing the project "Students for Europe! we set out to increase the motivation of high school students for learning as a result of gaining practical experience in a European mobility with a partner with tutoring experience and thus offering them increased career opportunities. Through the implementation of the project, we pursued the training of increased professional skills, but also transversal skills, for students from the barber-hairdresser-manicurist-pedicurist professional qualification. Thus, we set out to train and improve with a minimum of 80% the learning outcomes (knowledge, skills, attitudes) specific to the qualification Hairdresser, hairdresser, manicurist, pedicurist through their participation in three 3-week internships at the international partner, training and improving skills personal and linguistic through the impact with the cultural environment of the host country, in order to increase adaptation and flexibility to a new context and gain experience in implementing projects

Background

Through this project, we wanted to solve some of the problems faced by the Henri Coanda Technological High School and the local community, among which an important place was the students' disinterest in their own training, in the context of high unemployment in the area. In the SV Oltenia region, the number of unemployed has increased, as a result of layoffs from mining, which has generated a high degree of poverty, the dependence of families on those laid off by the authorities and the exodus of young people to more developed areas of the country or to foreign countries. In order to reduce school dropout rates and prepare the workforce with the skills required by employers in the area, we considered it opportune to organize a practical training internship in a European country, on the tutoring model, with experienced partners, which would guarantee the acquisition of the necessary skills for integration on labor market. The field of services absorbs the largest part of the active workforce, mainly graduates of professional education
