The project "The internship in Europe, a chance to develop professionally and personally!", followed the enrichment skills, knowledge, skills using new technologies in modern working environments in the automotive field, of 14 students of the 11th grade, the technological branch, the technical profile, the qualification Automotive electrician electrician technician, who are preparing for supporting the professional certificate. The students completed a three-week training placement at services car from Bologna. The placement offered the participating students a valid alternative for practical training, for to increase the quality of professional training, with a view to increased career opportunities and better employability. The project helped students, following examples of good practice, to train as good specialists in their field of activity, thanks to the use modern technologies. The module for which they did the practical training is MIV: "Electric machines". During the 90 hours of practical activity, under the guidance of the tutors, the students participating in the training will acquire knowledge, skills and professional skills for maintenance and repair of automotive electrical installations.
By participating in an internship in a foreign country, students have the advantage of knowing better the requirements of European employers. Thus, they will become more responsible in terms of professional and personal development, more career oriented, more motivated for taking the exam to obtain the professional certificate at the end of the high school cycle, for continuation studies and for continuous learning and training. Within the school, I noticed a change in the attitude of the students who participate in the projects, the number of absentees students has decreased, school dropouts are decreasing, the interest in supporting the Professional Certificate is increasing, some of the students having goals such as passing the Baccalaureate exam, following post-secondary or university courses. Through this project, I contributed to increasing the prestige of the school, by improving the quality education and professional training provided by our school. We believe that by participating in such a project, a graduate of the technical profile will be better prepared competitive, therefore able to adapt to the qualification needs required on the automotive labor market.
