Objectives

We consider the proposed objectives to have been entirely achieved, these being: O1 Development of professional abilities in the field of Tourism and alimentation field, of 45 students from high school and vocational school based on URI and SPP, by forming necessary abilities and skills based on theoretical knowledge gained at school through practical training in European companies from the field of Tourism and restauration. O2 Improvement of key competences of 45 students in communicating in a foreign language, in learning to learn, raising their social and civic behaviours, their spirit for initiative, their cultural awareness, self-esteem, ability to do teamwork and desire for performance. O3 Motivating the 45 students, that come from social backgrounds with high risks of exclusion, to finalize their professional training for an easier access to the labour market, or to continue their training on a higher level for at least 60% of them. O4 Institutional development through intensified international cooperation and increasing the ability to make partnerships with organizations and businesses from the EU space resulting at least 3 new partnership agreements.

Background

We applied for this project because we wanted and want to offer our students the chance to adapt better and easier to a constantly changing society and to national and European labour markets, having well-formed abilities and skills in various living and working areas. Considering that many of our students come from vulnerable social backgrounds we considered their needs to develop motivation, to stimulate their self-esteem and improve their perception on future chances as honest and reliable European citizens. We also wished to improve our school’s relationship with educational partners, to develop new European partnerships, to concern for the future of our students and their families as a school that cares for the future and development of our graduates.
