The project "Professional training through internships at the workplace" was implemented by the Technological High School UNIREA to ensure the training needs of students. As our school is placed in an economically underdeveloped area, the majority of students coming from disadvantaged backgrounds, we wanted to ensure access to education and professional training for all students, through this project. The educational unit has a modest endowment of teaching aids in the technical field, to a great extent physically worn out and obsolescent, and in the area there is a small number of economic agents to ensure the practice of students according to professional training standards, and the implementation of this project provided us with the possibility of the students' practice at high-performing economic agents, so that students from the transport technician, computer operator technician and car mechanic qualifications acquire knowledge, skills and competences according to the PTS. The implementation of the project also addressed the professional development of teaching staff in the technical field through their contact with performing economic agents, for curriculum application in accordance with the requirements of the labor market.
