Background

The project with the title "Practical internships at the Erasmus+ level for future teachers-educators, respectively educator-childcare workers" was addressed to a number of 63 students from the 10th, 11th and 12th grades from the vocational profile, educator-teacher qualification and educator-child careworker, during the school years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 and started from the institutional need to adapt the training approach of future graduates to the current requirements of a modern, European education, in which education is based on pragmatic principles, based on the minimum transmission of information and emphasis on the development of skills, abilities, which will mean knowledge and the possibility of comparing the good practices found in the Spanish (where early education is mandatory), Portuguese and Cypriot education systems; the training of competences, understood as multifunctional and transferable ensembles of knowledge, skills/abilities, skills necessary for fulfillment and personal development, by achieving one's own goals in life according to everyone's aspirations and interests and the desire to learn throughout life
