Objectives

Among the needs identified at the school level, the priority area we focused on in this project was the provision of high-quality education and professional training services, which will give future graduates the skills corresponding to the requirements of the labour market at national, European and international levels. The pursued objectives are: O1: Development of the professional skills of 14 students of the 11th grades - vocational school, "Tourism and food" field, "cook" qualification, by participating in practical training courses in 2 streams, during two years in FI and PT, in order to increase the chances of integration on the labour market. O2: Improving the professional skills of 5 IP VET teachers, who will participate in job shadowing activities in FI, having the opportunity to closely monitor how the teaching-learning-evaluation process is managed within IP, as well as how it is used the PBL (project-based learning) method. O3: Development of communication skills in the EN language for a number of 14 students and 5 teachers, by carrying out activities in an intercultural environment characterized by the exercise of tolerance, non-discrimination and empathy.

Background

The analysis carried out at the end of the 2019-2022 school year highlighted the need to develop the European cooperation and internationalization activity of the school, one of the PRIORITY AREAS of development being the mobility of students and teaching staff in the European and international space by promoting partnerships for learning. The provision of education services and high-quality professional training, which will give future graduates competencies corresponding to the requirements of the labour market at the national, European and international level, was and remains a PRIORITY AREA for the Economic College (as a representative school for professional and technical education). Therefore, we decided to capitalize on all the opportunities offered by the Erasmus program to offer students internships abroad and the acquisition of skills in real working conditions (28 students), and on the other hand to increase the quality of education and the ability to operate international level, by ensuring the access of teaching and non-teaching staff to continuous training programs (5 IP teachers).
