Panait Istrati Braila County Library is one of the oldest institutions of this kind in the country (140 years of uninterrupted operation). However, it is open to modernity, being the first fully computerized library among the county ones and one of the most appreciated in the country in terms of offering attractive services to the public, being often visited by colleagues from the country and abroad who want to implement similar services. in their institutions. So we are a role model for our colleagues in the country. It is important to emphasize that in recent years we have had over 1,000 cultural actions annually, which means that our institution is also oriented towards offering other activities than the traditional ones for a library, namely those of book lending. Our offer of cultural services, very rich in activities dedicated to all age categories, but so far we have not implemented any integrated program of social inclusion, but only disparate activities, through which we tested the public interest. We wanted such a project through the present project, the first in the history of our Library, which would include the concept of "social inclusion".
