Objectives

The main objective of our project was the development of training skills by learning new strategies for 8 trainers of our organization to contribute by carrying out new activities to the insertion of adults on the labor market. The specific objectives of this project were the development of transversal skills and effective approaches to the inclusion of disadvantaged people, the unemployed, and adults undergoing professional retraining. Our goal was to develop the skills of our trainers to work with these people, by developing the ability to create a safe and reliable learning environment. We also wanted to develop the management skills of the organization's representative and two other people involved in educational management to contribute to the creation of training activities suitable for our target groups. Technology is now evolving much faster than in past years, in the sense that it has taken a strong lead and shows no signs of stopping, so each institution should use technological resources to the maximum. Things that until now seemed intangible, are now possible thanks to technology, that's why we considered it opportune to combine ICT resources with the training activities chosen for our trainers, to be able to create varied contents in their activities. Another important objective of our project was to facilitate relations between institutions for future collaboration and the development of sustainable strategic partnerships in adult education in order to benefit as many people as possible from the knowledge gained by our resource persons. We also wanted to develop cultural competence by participating in diverse activities as possible in different countries in order to get to know their culture and integrate it into future projects and activities.

Background

We applied for this project in order to improve the skills of our trainers in certain fields such as professional orientation in education, equity education and inclusion, international collaboration and project management, in order to further develop other projects in adult education. At the same time, we wanted through this project to improve our lifelong learning programs by introducing new work elements and developing a collaboration with colleagues from other countries participating in international programs. Through permanent participation in training programs, our trainers develop their creativity and critical thinking. The president and project coordinators participated in a leadership and management course during which they developed their leadership, communication and collaboration skills with organizations from other European countries. The participants learned about the success of education in Finland and developed a collaboration with an NGO from Turin. They have a better understanding of leadership in order to inspire and motivate adults in their lifelong learning. We applied for this project to increase the potential of the people we work with and to motivate them in creating personalized and creative activities for adults.
