Objectives

Through the “Stop Cybercrime & Cyberbullying” project, we wanted to involve youth workers from 9 countries to acquire working methods to help young people overcome online harassment, to discover new ways of working with young people according to their individuality, to improve their non-formal working methods, to know new methods of communication, mediation, guidance and counseling of young people participating in youth activities carried out within NGOs, to acquire skills about the characteristic learning style to every young man. The context of this project revolves around today's adolescents who are exposed daily to pressure from the online environment and the environment. We also set out to produce a support document, a guide to preventing and combating online aggression and harassment against young people, which will help both youth workers in participating countries and people working with young people in other institutions. From discussions with partners we have found that teenagers in the digital age are going through difficult times sometimes and are more exposed to pressures and problems than previous generations. The aim of this project was to facilitate the participants' personal development, to improve their working skills with young people addicted to the online space and to prevent abuse of any kind. The overall objective of the project was to develop the skills of 50 youth workers from 10 countries, to support and advise young people in order to prevent online harassment through mobile or internet devices and to protect young people in the use of communication technologies. The project had several specific objectives, namely: to develop a guide to prevent and combat online aggression and harassment against young people, to learn psychological skills to identify the temperaments and personality of young people in order to combate emotional harassment, developing non-formal education activities that combine training with counseling and guidance. The Stop Cybercrime & Cyberbullying project met the objectives of the Erasmus + program: to increase the volume and quality of learning mobility as well as to prioritize the fight against bullying, including cyber bullying, violence, fake news and other forms of online misinformation.
