In justifying the application, the project team explained some of the factors that led to the idea of this project: identification of the increasing level of unemployment among young people; their lack of interest in finding concrete occupations, despite the fact that more and more of them are enrolling in various faculties without knowing exactly what will help them later on. The analysis of the young people already selected for the groups, from the two communities, before writing their applications, also showed that young people at risk of social exclusion, from socially, ethnically, economically and culturally disadvantaged backgrounds, are particularly exposed to this risk. Because of an education system that does not highlight and develop the abilities and skills of students, insisting on the quantity of theoretical subjects and not on quality, young people today, especially those who are disadvantaged, whose families cannot offer them other opportunities, do not get to know themselves, to know what they like, what they are inclined to do or what job would suit them. They finish college for an illusory social status, but they are not at all prepared for life or for the profession for which they have earned a degree. They don't know how to identify and develop their skills and how to relate them to the economic needs of their community. And if they have a passion, a creative concern, they don't know how to turn it into a job or a business. Most of them, after graduation, take compromise jobs, which bring them a salary but do not satisfy their inner needs at all. Not understanding that a passion or a talent can become a job - even a successful business, even without higher education - others go abroad for better-paid jobs that also do not represent them. And today's young people, because they don't know and are not encouraged to be creative, become frustrated and unproductive employees, the unhappy adults of tomorrow. Detailed analysis through interviews, questionnaires and discussions with young people in their communities also identified the needs of young people with few opportunities to link formal education with knowledge and practices that school does not offer, but which, through the project's non-formal activities, they can facilitate for themselves. The team aimed to mobilize 2 groups of young people from Craiova and Oreahovo in finding concrete jobs that represent them, in their communities, by going through several steps: identifying their own skills and creative abilities, knowing the methods to put them into practice and identifying the opportunities offered by communities - authorities, private environment, other institutions. Erasmus+ offered 30 young people the opportunity to participate in activities to acquire and develop skills through non-formal methods, to promote creativity and initiative, personal, social and professional development, to overcome social, economic, cultural and educational difficulties, to explore, learn and develop entrepreneurial skills that will increase their chances of adapting to the labour market. The aim of the project was set: to enhance the creative and entrepreneurial potential of young people, by identifying their own skills and abilities, the means to put them into practice and the opportunities offered by the community, participating actively in the socio-cultural life of the community and improving the quality of life and combating unemployment among young people. The objectives pursued were: 1. To develop creative skills in 30 young people, by teaching and adapting work techniques in different fields, which will open perspectives for their professional development and improve the quality of life. 2. To develop entrepreneurial skills in 30 Romanian and Bulgarian young people, through participation in engagement, connection and empowerment activities, carried out in the framework of 2 mobilities, to combat youth unemployment. 3. To strengthen the skills acquired by the 30 young people by organising an event to promote creativity and entrepreneurship, where young people will be organisers, creators or future entrepreneurs.
