CONTEXT The reduction of youth unemployment and the strategy to effectively engage as many young people as possible in Europe in the world of work they are at the center of the EU's political program. The economic crisis has led to high levels of youth unemployment and therefore to the disengagement of young people. Fortunately, according to data released on 31st August 2018 by Eurostat, there has been an improvement in the situation. Overall there is a progressive improvement in the employment situation in all countries, but there is still a lot of work to be done, especially to reduce the disparity between EU countries. One of the actions we can take is promoting youth entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship comes in many forms and different roles: it is a tool to develop talent and to stimulate innovation, bearer of good practice and promoter of social values, but in the current context also a solution for unemployment and a way to reactivate the NEET. OBJECTIVES - support Europe 2020 targets, in particular the employment; - developing basic and transversal skills, such as entrepreneurship (with a focus on social entrepreneurship) in young people, using innovative approaches; - improving quality in the field of youth work, in particular through increased cooperation between youth organizations and / or other interested parties; - increasing the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship; - improvement of the skills of Youth Workers. TAGET GROUP - Youth Workers - Young people - Disadvantaged young people - NEET - Youth organizations, local authorities, companies, employment centers, policy makers, professionals and researchers - Participating organizations PROJECT The project consists in the development of a Toolkit addressed to the YW that will allow them to support and help young people who want to start a business idea, "Toolkit on social entrepreneurship- O1". In addition, to increase the impact at European level we will implement "MOOCs on Social Entrepreneurship- O2". MOOCs targeting YPs will give them all the information and tools necessary to start a new business (O2). We will also make the "EnMind Platform- O3" will serve as an open education digital platform for the provision of the training material developed throughout the project. Through this digital platform, trainings will be conducted more efficiently, by overcoming physical and time limitations (O3). We will also carry out a training course addressed to Youth Workers to test the results of the project and make them become multipliers of the contents learned on their territory (C1). IMPACT The EnMind project will have a significant impact on the project participants, partners, target groups as well as regional and national stakeholders, and the project countries. The intended impact of the EnMind project on the participants is: - Increase of the capacity and competency level of the project staff (Youth Workers, employees of the project organisations, etc.) involved in the project implementation, encouraging young people to start a business in the field of social entrepreneurship. - Through the MOOC on social entrepreneurship, we will succeed in reaching all the young people interested in the subject, especially the disadvantaged ones who have difficulty accessing training. - The learner will be autonomous and the training will be authenticated through some exercises or self-correction quizzes, which will allow the user to evaluate the understanding of the topic and monitor progress. The project will create an Online Educational Platform, EnMind platform (O3), that will serve as an open education digital platform for the provision of the training material developed throughout the project (including the MOOCs implemented on social entrepreneurship) to the project’s Youth Workers target group (youth workers educators, teachers, etc.) and to the young people.
By implementing the EnMind project we intended to support Europe 2020 targets, in particular the employment, through offering an innovative learning and teaching environment in the field of social entrepreneurship for developing basic and transversal skills, such as entrepreneurship (with a focus on social entrepreneurship) in young people, using innovative approaches. We sought at improving quality in the field of youth work, through increased cooperation between youth organizations and interested parties, and by increasing the sense of initiative and entrepreneurship of youth. Moreover, we envisaged the improvement of the skills of Youth Workers. Through international mobility, the partners and participants are able to know different training, working methods and cultural conditions, which were transmitted to a significant number of peers, colleagues and stakeholders. At EnMind consortium level, the comparison of different work/ education systems, combined with the specialist skills of training providers and European strategies, lead to professional development of youth workers, which is a determining factor in the quality of learning.
The reduction of youth unemployment and the strategy to effectively engage as many young people as possible in Europe in the world of work they are at the center of the EU's political program. The EnMind project was implemented as a cooperation action for promoting youth entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship comes in many forms and different roles: it is a tool to develop talent and to stimulate innovation, bearer of good practice and promoter of social values, but in the current context also a solution for unemployment and a way to reactivate the NEET. This project, focused on the large energy possessed by European youth and the great desire to go up again and emerge, aiming to encourage entrepreneurship and unlock the growth potential of European young people, in particular the NEETs and economy. In this context, the EnMind project addressed the need of Youth Workers to be equipped with the necessary skills to help young Europeans, in particular NEETs, to realize their full potential both as individuals and as active members of society and the workforce. Through the EnMind online learning platform, trainings are conducted more efficiently, by overcoming physical and time limitations.
