The European Development Plan foresees activities - teacher mobility and international cooperation, which we expected would contribute to the achievement of the goals of the School Development Plan. The specific goals of the European Development Plan were: - Improving the quality of the teaching process by applying new, innovative and interactive methods (project teaching, flipped classroom, teaching evaluation methods and techniques); - Improving the competence of teachers for managing the teaching process; - Improvement of the teaching process by interdisciplinary connection between subjects; - Developing language and digital competences of teachers, professional associates and students; - Improvement of competences to support the proper development of the student's personality; - Developing competences for communication and cooperation; - Developing competences for lifelong learning; - Developing competencies for interculturality, raising awareness and understanding other cultures and countries; Primary school "Strahinja Popović" Dvorane applied for the project with the aim to, through the Erasmus+ teacher mobility project, empower school teachers to apply innovative learning methods and thus improve teaching and learning in the school. We thought that by attending the courses Classroom Management Solutions for Teachers: new Methodologies, Effective Motivation, Cooperation and Evaluation Strategies and Introducing Project-Based Learning in the Classroom, teachers would develop the competencies foreseen by the European Development Plan. It was expected that the exchange of experiences with seminar participants from other countries also influenced the development of competencies foreseen by the European Development Plan and the School Development Plan. By implementing project teaching, it was expected that there would be cross-curricular connection and improvement of the teaching process. It was expected to develop the skills of managing the teaching process, because both courses had a similarly formulated outcome in the description of the expected outcomes. By participating in courses and through various project activities through the eTwinning platform, we expected to develop competences for communication and cooperation, as well as communication in English. By applying the acquired knowledge in teaching and carrying out dissemination activities, it is expected that the effects of mobility affect the other teachers of our school, as well as the teachers of other schools. It is expected that the activities within this project will contribute to the school fully achieving its mission and realizing its vision. By implementing the European Development Plan, it was expected to achieve higher quality work of the institution, which would be reflected in the local community and the achievement of the important goal of offering better quality education. affects the prevention of migration of the population from villages to cities.
Analyzing the needs of our school, based on external evaluation, self-evaluation and the results of the "Selfie" project, we concluded that it is necessary to improve the key area of teaching and learning, by raising the competence of teachers for the application of innovative work methods. The school development plan of the primary school "Strahinja Popović" Dvorana defines the vision for the school to become efficient and high-quality, adapted to the needs and interests of students and teachers, which uses the specifics of its environment to achieve educational outcomes. The European Development Plan envisages participation in international Erasmus + projects, which we believed would enable the school to have European cooperation, exchange of good practices, adoption and application of successful innovative learning methods, professional training of teachers. We applied for the project considering that its implementation would raise the quality of the institution's work in the field of teaching and learning in accordance with modern European trends in education. By improving the competence of our school's teachers through the training of teachers for the application of innovative work methods by attending courses abroad, we expected the implementation of innovative methods in school teaching, which would lead to better learning results for our students and better school success as a whole. We expected that participation in Erasmus projects would also affect the local community, because students, teachers and parents would be more open to adopting European values, developing environmental awareness, valuing European and their own cultural and historical heritage.
