By implementing this project, the School wanted to improve the competence of teachers and teaching practice and raise the level of student motivation in teaching and extracurricular activities. Through activities in the project, the School wanted to support the professional development of employees who, through mobility to European schools, would have the opportunity to learn from examples of good practice about new teaching methods, oriented towards the development of student competencies and learning outcomes. The goal was for teachers to improve their competencies for learning, teaching methods, and communication, and for students to raise the level of motivation for studying and more active participation in school activities. The school also aimed to improve international cooperation and intercultural development of the School.
Based on the School's self-evaluation in the last few years, the quality areas of Students` Achievement and Teaching and Learning were rated the worst. In the external evaluation of the School, these areas were also rated as the worst. It has been recorded that the teaching process ismostly traditional and that students with lower motivation hardly achieve better results in teaching and extracurricular activities. Until now, teachers have almost never had the opportunity to participate in international trainings or exchange experiences with teachers in other European countries, and the School believed that the mobility of a certain number of teachers would provide an opportunity for the development and improvement of teacher competencies, which would modernize the teaching process through the application of methods cooperative classes, project classes, peer learning, development of cross-curricular competencies. In the external evaluation of the School and in the self-evaluation process, the fields of Students` Support, Ethos and Inclusive Education are rated best. In these areas, there is a possibility of additional development of the School through the development of competencies for teamwork in organizing curricular and extracurricular activities. Getting to know the models of work in these areas in European schools can contribute to even better results in these areas of evaluation.
