The goal of project is improvement of students' professional skills and doing professional practice abroad. By carrying out professional practice, they will become familiar with olive growing, industrial production, production plants, modern analyzes and methods of quality control of olive oil, improve their language skills, acquire new knowledge and practical skills, but also prepare for a new way of working. The internship will contribute to strengthen formal and informal education of students. Teachers will improve methodical and didactic skills, modernize teaching by following modern tendencies in field of food industry. The benefit of this project is intercultural learning of the students, they will develop skills for better coping in a new and unfamiliar environment. The acquired knowledge will be implemented by the teachers in school's Annual Work Plan and in teaching and learning plans. With the implementation of the project, we will achieve a great positive impact on the whole school, the network of international contacts and partnerships will improve, we will include the results of the project in the education strategy of our school, but local community and parents will also benefit.
The educational profile of a food technician in the fourth grade studies several technologies, one of which is the technology of oils and vegetable fats. In the curriculum, the largest number of lessons is devoted to the production of sunflower oil, because sunflowers are mostly grown in our country, so we can only visit companies that produce sunflower oil. In the conversation with the students, whether they would like to learn about the process of production of olive oil and its products in the EU, the students were enthusiastic. By implementing the project, the students will improve their competences, which directly affects the improvement of their achievements, and the teachers' awareness of modern methods of oil quality control. The school is determined to introduce innovations in the teaching process in order to improve and modernize teaching, because we have motivated teachers. The greatest benefit for students is the realization of professional practice abroad. The project will contribute to the attractiveness and better marketing of the school. By transferring experience from internships and cultural visits, surrounding schools and the local community benefit.
