We wanted to prepare for the realization of the final exam in VET, respond to the needs of the economy and the local community, and organize counseling on the steps and potential problems that need to be solved during the preparation and realization of the final exam. Since our country will apply the model of the final exam in VET based on the Slovenian one, we wanted to see how that model works on the spot, and we found a partner school „Šolski Center Novo Mesto“ ("School Center Novo Mesto"), thanks to the contact of our school's teacher with Gregor Mohorčič, a key expert for the Final exam in VET in Serbia.
The "Preparation for Final exam in VET" project responded to the needs of the „Prva tehnička škola Kruševac“ (First Technical School Kruševac), to adequately prepare for the changes brought by the new concept of the VET Final exam in secondary vocational schools in Serbia, which was planned for June 2022 but postponed for June 2024. The previous experience of our school for the successful and high-quality implementation of vocational secondary school graduation at the national level (in primary and secondary vocational schools) was not enough. We wanted to improve this project through a visit to the „Šolski Center Novo Mesto“ (Novo Mesto School Center)- a partner in the project, which, with its seventeen years of experience in the preparation, organization, and realization of the professional graduation, was an adequate resource for learning the entire process.
