We wanted the project participants to gain training and work experience abroad and to present it to other students upon return. We wanted those experiences, in addition to their professional skills, to include knowledge that facilitates their personal development, as well as cultural, social and economic sensibilities. We wanted to transfer good practices and adopt them by our school at all levels, such as training, implementation of new programs, teaching and learning methods, educational materials and equipment covering new needs. In addition to formal qualifications, project participants should also use other forms of technical and social skills: initiative, flexibility, responsibility and communication skills. Contacts with partners will be maintained and through this cooperation the quality of education will be improved, innovations promoted, a more attractive European area of vocational learning created and the European dimension of the school strengthened. Our goal was to increase our ability to do business internationally through the participation in this project, strengthen cooperation with partners from other countries and improve the preparation, implementation and monitoring of such and similar projects.
Our school has a vision to acquire new teaching and learning practices through European projects, to transfer best practices from other developed EU countries and to increase awareness of training opportunities provided in EU countries. We want to develop international partnerships and build the competent staff able to respond to the challenges of their profession and rapid change in the modern world of work. Specific reasons are: - Opening school at the international level and establishing cooperation with educational institutions in Greece in order to improve the knowledge and expertise of students and employees and monitoring European standards in education; - Adopting good practices and increase their competitiveness by introducing new and specific tourism products and services and implementing new ICT in tourism; - Nurturing and developing the principles of lifelong learning of employees and students; - Developing the entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, creativity, personal and professional competencies, and universal human values through fostering tolerance and intercultural understanding.
