ICT - new technologies - digital competences

Objectives

We wanted to achieve: 1. Professional development and improvement of digital competences of all school employees. 2. Mastering and applying ICT tools by learning from practical examples. 3. Creating an institution that becomes Model School in the upcoming years, which would be the first in the local and regional environment to enable job shadowing for all employees and interested colleagues. 4. Developing multicultural awareness and interest in the implementation of European projects in order to enhance the competencies necessary for this dimension of school work. The most relevant topics the project addresses are: - teaching and learning, - a modern teacher who develops his/her digital competence, as well as competence of other colleagues and students by using digital tools; - developing cooperation with other institutions abroad and in the country, - Continuous following and observing of European developments and creating opportunities for the school to be recognized as a modern European educational institution that provides quality conditions for lifelong learning for all students and staff.

Background

Due to upgrade and update in many fields, and one of the most prominent was usage of digital devices in the premises. We were lacking training in Google Classroom tools or ICT tools in general and ways to apply them and that way modernize and make our teaching more effective and closer to various demands of highly diverse teaching goals. Add some new ICT teaching strategies, learn more about ICT learning, improve ICT classroom management and adapt our mindset ICT. Therefore, we considered that by job shadowing teachers would gain more teaching skills and strength, which leads us to more effective classes, connecting teachers and developing cooperation, developing and nurturing the individual needs of each student of our school.
