Objectives

Impro Path addressed the specific needs of the youth workers’ role and the NGO sector. They encourage young people in being self-initiative and taking risks at the beginning of their working life. Young people encounter difficulties in the transition from education to the labour market. While a theoretical knowledge about the labour market can be gained in schools and formal institutions, the task of encouraging youth at the beginning while entering the labour market, releasing creativity or fostering self-initiative is supported by youth workers and NGO actions. The aim of the project was to empower youth workers to look at applied theater improvisation as an innovative method in non-formal education. Further aim was to foster youth entrepreneurship by improving essential life and entrepreneurial skills to prepare young people to successfully get engaged with the labour market. To achieve this, we set the following objectives: (1) increase the capacity of youth workers by enriching their working methods with the innovative tool of applied theater improvisation (2) learn how to apply improvisation to release creativity, spontaneity and improve sense of initiative (3) to provide an opportunity for sharing best practices focusing on improving sense of initiative and entrepreneurship (4) to introduce Youthpass as a tool for self-assessment, evaluation and recognition of non-formal learning (5) to foster international development cooperation between Central-Eastern, Southern Eastern European (CEE and SEE) and Mediterranean regions
