By participating in this project, we hope to be able to bring changes in our daily work around lessons and around the students at the school. We believe that an increase in the staff's ICT competence and leadership in the classrooms will lead to better teaching where the technology complements the teacher with e.g.; smarter ways to teach, flipped classroom, use of teaching apps, creating quizzes and more. The traditional nature of the teaching profession may need to be strengthened and we believe that participation in continuing education courses and job shadowing that include leadership, group dynamics and social elements will also leave an impression on the school's students' sense of security and study calm and make it even more important to involve the students in their learning. We will develop our ability to motivate students so that their results will improve. We hope that the new impressions from the contacts the participants received will lead to Kramforsskolan participating in school collaborations in new projects in the future and also that we will open up our school for visits from other parts of Europe .
We applied for this project because we saw the need to increase the staff's competence in ICT and leadership in the classroom, while at the same time we saw a need to be an attractive place for emplyment who sees opportunities with Erasmus+ in our mix of continuing education measures we do to increased goal fulfillment. Using technology places high demands on the teacher's role and we believe it is important to have the chance to see good examples and to be able to discuss with others in order to strengthen regular school development. Through job shadowing, we could see the possibilities to see our opperations with new eyes and we wanted to provide the opportunity to develope more variety in the classroom work. The project itself is part of Kramforsskolan’s development and hope to spark increasing curiosity and also give us more input of good ideas for our operations. The school is already investing in local development work around leadership in the classroom, where this project can supplement efforts already made. These ideas must be implemented by teachers and finally reach the students in the form of new ways of working and provide a better and safer education. The courses and the job shadowing we selected will help Kramforsskolan with continued implementation work surrounding one-to-one and give the staff additional competence in how to plan and carry out teaching with iPads. We want to expand our global knowledge and contact network for future collaborations and increase the mobility of our own staff. We hope to strengthen the international element in teaching in accordance with the curriculum for primary school.
