We think that continued international exchanges will lead to an improvement in the quality of the programme and an increase in status. We also believe that international exchange enhances students' position and attractiveness in the job market. The international environment also provides students with increased language skills. An international project also increases teachers' competence, which in turn leads to opportunities to continue developing and raising the quality throughout the organization. The Erasmus project during 2018 - 2020 has strengthened the identity of the hotel and tourism programme and it has also resulted in more interdisciplinary collaborations both between vocational teachers and teachers of other subjects. The cultural exchange that the project entails is also an important experience, both for the participating students and for the school's continued work with the development of all programmes. We have seen that this network gives us a chance to continuously develop education according to trends and how the market outside of Sweden develops.
Our main needs based on the current situation of the programme, are to continue to raise the quality and status of the vocational programme. We want our vocational training to be an attractive choice, which in turn leads to an increase in the number of applicants to the programme and a decrease in dropouts. We also noted the need for increasing competence of vocational teachers by giving their professional experiences an international perspective.
