As unique centers of equine VET providers in Sweden, it is extremely important to have an international perspective and commitment. This is necessary for education to be attractive and competitive. The need to develop educational activities will never stop, but existing training must be developed in terms of content and implementation and new training must be offered to meet tomorrow's requirements. Students prepared for a continuously important horse industry with an international labor market with good knowledge, readiness to meet changes and with interest and understanding of other cultures. Teachers, instructors and education managers with a strong interest and commitment to international cooperation. To develop vocational education and training with the opportunity for skills development and to have an increased and active network in other countries. To continue to have the opportunity for the consortium to offer students an international educational environment and with an international dimension in all education.
The three Swedish national equine centres Flyinge, Strömsholm and Wången offer vocational training at different levels for the supply of competence in the Swedish horse industry. The industry is of high international quality and successful in sports, breeding and hobby. As an education provider, we must have constant external monitoring for knowledge and understanding, as well as networks and contacts to prepare our students for an international industry. International cooperation is important for the relevance of the educations we offer. Through Erasmus+, this consortium has been given excellent opportunities to continue and develop their activities. The consortium may not have so many students compared to others, but we educate in different sectors and on different levels. In vocational education and training, practical teaching often rests on so-called "proven experience". This means that much knowledge rests on knowledge, skills and experience, which have proven to be permanent. and is transferred from one person to another. This increases the need to offer opportunities for work-based learning abroad within the framework of or in close connection with vocational education and training.
