Objectives

We wanted to achieve more quality in the education that our school offers by adding vocational education and training within an Erasmus+ project. Students student who study Business and Administration were to prepare for three major aspects of life. They were to prepare for work life, by doing Work- Based Learning in business, where they may find employment. Students were to increase their cultural understanding, language skills and their level of independence.

Background

We applied for the project because we are certain that having Erasmus+ at our institution develops and deepens the quality of our education by offering students and staff the possibility to spend time abroad in a professional situation, whether it is of an educational character or a vocational one.The main purpose with our project is to give the students who study Business and Administration the chance to do part of their Work-Based Learning abroad for six weeks. Students at our school are well informed about the possibilities that we offer through the Erasmus+ programme. They are presented with the information at open houses at Hvitfeldtska, at educational fairs, through their teachers and former students. Implementing the criteria for their internship Work- Based Learning (WBL) abroad starts in year 1 and we believe the opportunity to attend the Erasmus+ programme motivates a big number of students to focus on their studies. Thereby we reduce the number of students who drop out. By participating in our project, the students a re prepared for three major aspects of life. They are prepared for work life, by doing WBL in business, where they can find employment.
