We strive to raise the quality and motivation within our entire school for both students and staff through the international perspective. At student level, it is to broaden their education with a cultural and international perspective. We want the students to understand and experience that the whole world lies ahead of them in their future profession. To add, to be able to handle linguistic, social, and cultural diversity, practice cooperation skills and problem solving to increase their employability both within Sweden but also globally. Through the responsibility that APL abroad demands the students grow as democratic citizens of society and as a human beeing. For staff; to meet other professional colleagues to discuss, develop and share their professional knowledge in order to strengthen their own professional role and thus increase the quality of teaching. In addition, increase sustainability thinking, to see and learn but also to spread the good across Europe's borders. We are a modern vocational school that wants to be at the forefront of our education and through European cooperation we have the opportunity to learn best practices from other professionals and create an education and colleagues in the industry for the future.
Stockholm´s Hotell and Restaurant school is a vocational upper secondary school with a significant interntional focus due to the global labour market for our students. We want to give our students the opportunity to meet their future labour market despite background and personal challanges. Many of our students come from areas with socio-economic challenges and through this funding we can offer them an opportunity they would not otherwise have. Abroad internship gives the students useful requirements to enhance their working skills and employability in a global working labour market. Except for this we want to give the students experience in how to handle linguistic, social and cultural diversity which helps them in developing their non formal competences such as ability to cooperate, attitudes and problem solving. Regardless of whether the students will work internationally or within Sweden, APL abroad provides the knowledge and experience required in a multicultural industry. Regarding the staff, moblities with partners provide the opportunity to deepen and expand professional competence. This increases the quality and breadth of teaching within the education and strengthens the teacher in his professional role.
