As part of the realisation of our development plan, the project would have: - enabled a greater number of participants to do longer periods abroad (an increase from 2-4 weeks to longer...) to engage in work life abroad. - a greater number of both students and staff would gain from the experience in terms of language and communication skills, cultural know-how as well as in specific professional aspects. By doing so, they would have broadened their perspectives and thus become more attractive and sought-after on the local, national and international work market (where dynamics are a virtue). - given our school a chance to provide our young with learning opportunities that they at present are denied in our town (though we are good, others may be better). Having the possibilities at hand offered in Erasmus+ is also a factor to draw positive attention to our school and municipality as we are a big and proactive school, set out to create the future for our young. - made our international network grow to include a greater number of handpicked organsiations to further develop the learning opportunities for both staff and students. - meant that Long Term was the last and most excellent way to step into the world of work from our VET.
The project aimed at continuing Bromangymnasiet's extensive long-term work to improve teaching and learning aspects in education at our school Bromangymnasiet through international relations. Our mission includes providing opportunities for individuals to grow both professionally and personally for their own benefit, but also to help develop our learning environment and organisation. This is most effectively done through the opportinities provided in Erasmus+. We planned for participants to do longer periods abroad than what has been most common (due to traditional thinking patterns). We launched a new strategy for international relations at our school at the time of implementing this project - though only a fraction of it was implemented due to the inhibiting pandemic restraints. Our starting point, however, was the awareness that the Swedish population only represents 0.15 % of the world population. Though we may like to think of ourselves with high esteem, we need to collaborate with others to survive. We depend on good international relations and use our time to prepare our young for a complex future where they need to take action to mainitain peace as well as constant development in all sectors of society in or out of Sweden.
