DiscriminHate NoBody (DHNB) project aimed to draw attention on body shaming, discrimination and bullying at European level, to raise awareness and to disseminate empathic behavior in order to counter every form of bullying and negative judgement addressing physical appearance and other superficial reasons. The project was designed as a two step activity: - a training course “Educate not to Hate” was meant to provide youth workers with knowledge and skills to recognize discriminating behavior on social media and to develop specific NFE tools to contrast body shaming, discrimination and bullying; - a youth exchange “Enact to React” would test the methodology created during the TC in order to share knowledge and reach the impact on youngsters aged 18-25 and remaining continuity and momentum of the training process. Specific objectives of training course were: - To provide youth workers with knowledge, skills and tools to raise awareness on the phenomenon of body shaming, discrimination and bullying as a form of cyberbullying, its causes and its social consequences; - To stimulate engagement in implementing concrete actions to sensitize and to contrast body shaming, bullying and discrimination; - To foster active citizenship in the direct target group of youth workers and the ultimate target group of youth and society. - To produce a manual with guidelines for work on matters of body shaming, bullying and discrimination "Educate not to Hate”, including advices on recognition of body shaming, bullying and discrimination on social media, successful models of existing initiatives and programmes addressing the issue, and a toolkit of tailored workshops created by the youth workers. Specific objectives of the youth exchange were: - To test the NFE methodologies created during the TC with young people; - To educate young people regarding the phenomenon of body shaming, bullying and discrimination and how to deal with it; - To foster participants' active citizenship to become ambassadors among their peers and within their social environment (education, workplace, family etc.). - to discuss and prototype "DiscriminHate NoBody" raising awareness campaign on social media, based on contents created by the participants. We wanted to achieve such a high level of interaction and engagement of participants that they would be brave enough to tackle taboo topics of shaming, bullying and discrimination, they would choose the way of expression their thoughts (photos, videos, songs etc), individually and in group. We planned that the results would be shared on social media and disseminated through the networks of participants and partner organizations. Through the project on a bigger scale, we wanted to contribute to common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights as well as on projects enhancing media literacy, critical thinking and sense of initiative of young people as stated in Erasmus+ program priorities.
