At CIRIUS Vipava, teachers and other professionals face the challenges how to enable people with complex support needs (CSN) to better integrate into activities and how to approach them in a more creative way. People with CSN have significant intellectual and communication problems, often in combination with multifaceted problems - physical, sensory, health, behavioral. Due to their complex needs, it is difficult to include them in group activities and existing programs and they are often not very active. Despite the right to equal opportunities, their needs are not always taken into account. As a result, they may become increasingly introverted and withdrawn. For such a sensitive group of students, it is necessary to design new programs and introduce new, informal working methods. Involvement in the project will be verry useful and important for professional and personal empowerment. The purpose of the project is to gain insight into systemic solutions for the integrated support of people with CSN in other European countries, to learn about and upgrade complementary methods and approaches, and to design new, more appropriate programs for people with CSN .
