Main goals we wanted to achieve were the following: 1. Development of professional competencies to manage the project - we wanted to learn about man-agement and implementation of international projects; different techniques and strategies of planning, implementation, development and management of international projects and to establish acquaintances in different European countries - that is to gain partners for European educations and a project that will involve students; to exchange experiences with other teachers and school management team from other countries. 2. the growth of personal and professional development of students and teachers - management team and teachers will improve the quality of their work by enriching their teaching and implementing the changes based on foreign pedagogical practice; learn about different educational systems and strategies; the students will improve their personal and social skills. 3. improvement of language skills and competences and gathering intercultural competences - students and teachers will achieve a higher level of knowledge in foreign languages and they will also check, ex-pand and upgrade their knowledge in foreign languages as well as improve thee social competences.
We have decided to take part in the project because we have determined a big and longterm deficit of our school in the area of international collaborations. We were not qualified enough to implement inter-national project nor did we have the necessary knowledge for a successful participation. We wished to gain new knowledge in organization and project management as well as to upgrade international compe-tencies. Our goal was to make contact with foreign schools, which would enable us to spread intercultural and language knowledge among students and teachers and also to exchange teaching forms and meth-ods.
