The Montessori Institute strives to create a model community of learners and provide a space where children can fully develop their potential and where adults can internalize authentic Montessori principles. The strategy for achieving this vision is for adults to have the latest knowledge and rich experience, and to have lifelong education and liaison with related institutions. There are two aspects to the good functioning of our school and kindergarten: 1.that we are well connected with the European centers of knowledge, research and the pedagogy Montessori, thus maintaining contact and sharing good practices and knowledge. As the Montessori approach came to Slovenia late, the need for knowledge transfer to Slovenia is very high. 2.This knowledge needs to be adapted locally, taking into account legal and school system specificities. Therefore, in adapting and developing their own principles of operation, cooperation with foreign experts is needed in order to carry out the pedagogical process at the highest level and to integrate it into the environment. Visits to institutions in other countries are of great help to compare how they have standards and what the level of implementation is.
