Objectives

The aim of the project was to improve the participants' professional, linguistic, personal, intercultural and EU competences, which will increase their employment opportunities at home and abroad, as well as their personal and professional growth. The long-term objective of the project was to establish or enhance the cooperation with partner schools abroad and to consolidate our position as a reliable partner in projects, in which we have succeeded.

Background

The applying organization is Secondary School of Nursing Ljubljana with 85 employees, aproximately 950 students in youth education and 200 students in adult education unit. The school offers two programmes: health care and nursing assistant. We applied for this project to continue the red thread we started with our previous mobility projects: to provide mobilities of good quality for students and teachers, enabling them to develop their professional competences, as well as key integrated competences such as communication in a foreign language, tolerance and openness to other cultures, awareness of EU citizenship, independence, better self-esteem, etc. At school level, we wanted to continue the process of internationalisation of our institution, which will allow us to improve the quality of our work, as well as the quality of our cooperation with partners within the health and social sector, between educational institutions and the labour market.
