By implementing the project we aimed to fulfil the school’s vision to become a recognizable and quality vocational school which is adjusting to constant change in the job market. With experience in practical work-based education with employers abroad, students get to see, compare, value and upgrade practical work-based training in school and with their future local employers. These employers see international knowledge and experience gaining as an added value in incorporating the students in the work process. By participating in the mobility project teachers gain new experiences, get acquainted with new methods of work and transfer good practice examples from foreign to local environment. Participants improve language competences, come in contact with foreign environment, customs, culture and language of the country. At the same time they build independence and responsibility, which are a must for life in a new environment. Students and teachers will gain new professional knowledge in the fields of education, learn standards and regulations. We will add the gained innovations to professional subjects, introduce them in primary schools’ workshops, on open days and at meetings with employers.
We seek to ensure high quality of education. Through active, team-based methods of work in students and employees we encourage the development of entrepreneur qualities and through practical work train them in the spirit of creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship. We are aware international integration is increasingly important. Participation in Erasmus + programmes has thus become one of the school's major priorities, as internship abroad is an added value in any profession. Knowledge, skills and good practices students and employees acquire through internships in foreign companies are a great send-off for greater competitiveness in the labour market. Although we encourage employment of our students in the local environment, we are aware that their career paths are not necessarily tied to their home country only, so foreign language skills are a must. Companies have been increasingly opening up and becoming dependent on foreign markets, which has made foreign language proficiency a huge advantage. Mobility also brings new knowledge into a new environment, learning about new cultures, customs, getting to know and accepting differences, and thus enhancing the intercultural dimension.
