Objectives

Through the project we wanted to enable a closer connection between theory and practical content, learn about innovative practices in vocational education abroad, gradually internationalize our school further, enable our students work placements abroad, and emphasize the value of language for specific purposes. We wanted to gain greater connection between theory and practice through work placement abroad for our students, cooperation between teachers of general and vocational courses in setting goals for such mobility programmes and subsequent crosscurricular cooperation. We wanted to learn modern didactic and counselling methods to help enhance interest and the success of our students, thereby reducing the dropout rate in vocational programmes. We also wanted to learn about the dual education system, as the interest in it is growing. We wanted to expand the network of our partner organisations with a Finnish organisation, as we are interested in mobilities and exchanges there. After all, we hope to enable our students high-quality work placements abroad. We wanted to further develop language for specific purposes through cooperation between teaching staff, and then having students use it at their work placements abroad.

Since the latter involves connecting theory and practice, different participants in a local and an international area, we strive to empower our students to enter the European work market in offer them a modern approach at acquiring knowledge and skills. To this end, we have collaborated with different educational institutions and organisations which not only allowed us to expand our students’ skills, but the further advance the curriculum, learning materials, and teaching methods. As we pursue our students’ personal growth and furthering knowledge they have acquired at school, we look for our teachers’ professional growth and exchange of good practices in vocational education with fellow teachers through similar projects. We wish to continue Erasmus+ projects which enhance our existing network of educational institutions, and to connect with others and other countries to gain new perspectives in vocational education.
