Background

Due to the development of Green Library projects, the Ormož library was recognized by the international library organization as a positive practice and included in the selection of the 4 best green libraries in the world. We want to improve and upgrade the non-formal adult education in the direction of green and digital literacy, so we are looking for opportunities for international employee education. We try to quickly and efficiently adapt to social conditions and manage them in so that the needs of employees and library users are met. We want the staff to carry out educational programs for adults in a professional, modern and motivated manner, to develop, improve and provide lifelong education. Participation in Erasmus+ projects enables us to do all this by implementing staff mobility in adult education. Employees return from mobility very satisfied, with new knowledge, competences, fresh ideas and very positive experiences. During mobilities, we establish important professional international contacts, acquire new knowledge from experts from all over the world, and keep in touch with modern world trends not only in education and librarianship, but also in life in general. Thus we are becoming the driving force of local development.
