Ljudska Univerza Postojna (which is part of the Znanje Postojna Institute) is an important building block of social inclusion for vulnerable groups in the local and regional area. The key aim was to: bring additional activities to our area, personally meet partners with whom we could develop copmmon projects and motivate mentors for professional development. Through this project we wanted to: * develop additional activities and services for the social inclusion of the most vulnerable groups that we will offer in our region, * to prepare a set of project ideas for further cooperation with partners, * a wider range of activities, and the use of other promotional channels to attract more visitors, especially those with lower education levels into our Multigenerational centre.
The mobility aimed at further development of social inclusion programmes and to establish sustainable cooperation with similar organizations in EU working in the field of vulnerable groups. Two sets mobilities were organised. The first is a study visit to see good practices of related organisations and the second mobility is aimed at training mentors for vulnerable groups (in our case mainly young adults who have not completed their schooling, the elderly, those with lower education and migrants). Currently, we run two large-scale programmes for social inclusion within Ljudska Univerza Postojna, which we wanted to upgrade: PUM-O project- NEET learning for young adults and the Multigenerational Centre. Both mobilities are closely related to our Strategic Development Plan and our European Development Plan, where we have committed ourselves to 1.) offer quality programmes for vulnerable groups in terms of their inclusion and 2.) internationalising of the organisation. The key purpose of mobility: * aquiring competences to develop new social inclusion activities, * upgrading pedagogical skills for working with vulnerable groups, * strategic partners from abroad with similar interests, * motivation of mentors.
