Given that the mobilities were related to the professional education of students with special needs, we wanted the professionals to become familiar with special methods for them, with the practical implementation of curricula, learn about examples of good practices with an emphasis on the professional guidance of students with special needs and employing these persons after completing their education. We wanted the students to acquire new practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of new professional programs with the aim of improving their competences, promoting quality and improving their motivation for further education and the acquisition of new knowledge and skills in the field of their professional direction. We also wanted to improve the competences of professionals with the project, as well as increase their motivation for work and general satisfaction in they working environment and in general.
The Special VET 2020 project is already the fourth professional project of the Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Ljubljana, which we applied after receiving Quality charter and is thus a logical continuation of previous projects. We applied for the project primarily on the basis of good experience from our past projects and because of the wishes and needs of both students and professionals and management after further gaining knowledge and experience at partner organizations abroad. With the project, we also wanted to maintain and strengthen existing partnerships, as well as acquire new partnerships for further projects.
