We are aware of the benefits of mobility for students, teachers and our school. In accordance with the strategy, we wished to offer the possibility of participation to the mentors of our students on practical training education. In June 2020 we already intended to send abroad a group of experts from business companies (this is why a greater number of teaching activities were reported) where our students perform their practical training. Together with our partner school from Barcelos, we agreed that these experts would present their companies, examples of good practices at the organization of practical training, to the students of tourism, sport and multimedia from the Barcelos school and we agreed to offer the possibility of practical training here to their students. Unfortunately, the mobility in Portugal did not take place then due to bad Covid situation. We managed to perform some of the planned mobilities We increased the number of mobilities for students, but we were not so successful with the mobilities for the staff because of their reservation regarding the period of Covid 19. We managed to realize 3 teaching activities. One teacher from our school and two mentors from business companies took part in these activities.
This project was submitted because of the detailed plan of activities we had prepared for the application. In our submission of the project, we followed this plan. These were the main goals of the strategy of internationalization of Šolski center Srečka Kosovela Sežana (our school centre) for the period from 2018-2020: - To enable an international experience to as many students and teachers as possible. - To raise the recognition of our school in our region and to enhance the interest for our school with an interesting offer of international and modern curricula. - To improve the knowledge of foreign languages because of a great demand of foreign schools to perform the activities of job shadowing and practical training at our school. - To make international mobility part of the curriculum. - To design a network of 5-10 schools/other institutions with the aim of creating common educational modules. As a project from 2019 was being implemented at the same time, we applied 16 mobilities for students, 10 mobilities of training and 10 mobilities of teaching. 27 mobilities were approved but we managed to implement 26 of them, 23 mobilities for students and just three mobilities for the members of the staff.
