By implementing the VolunTEEN II project, both organizations wanted their participants - students - to gain diverse experiences with volunteering, develop their social sensitivity in an international context, and through these experiences develop more independent, conscious behavior and for the students to become more active European citizens. Second, the project partners wanted to develop an internal, personal need for volunteering in the participants during the project and to maintain this feeling even after the end of the project. As this Erasmus+ campaign supports learners in acquiring skills and competences to enhance their personal development and their inclusion as considerate and active members of society, the project addressed and achieved just that. With this project, the partnership wanted to make young people aware of socially important topics and thematic areas; discovering new cultures, habits and lifestyles, especially through peer-to-peer learning; to strengthen values such as solidarity, democracy and friendship. With this, we wanted to promote tolerance, respect for human rights, raise awareness of conscious volunteerism and active participation in society, and develop a sense of European citizenship and identity. The objectives of the project were as follows: 1. Students will gain diverse experiences through volunteering 2. Students will develop their social sensitivity 3. Students will develop independent and conscious behavior 4. Students will become more active European citizens 5. Students will develop a personal need for volunteering. 6. Schools will prepare young people for life 7. Students will recognize the importance of interpersonal communication.
